The Rollin’ Roast Coffee Co. is a local coffee company operating out of a 1960 Volkswagen single cab bus. The owner’s vision for the business was to have a look that preserved the vintage reality of a 1960 VW bus set in the modern-day and locally conscious city of Flagstaff. 

 

My role began in the developmental stages of the concept as the owner and I brainstormed everything from the company name to choosing which colors the truck would be. Looking at graphic design from the ’60s, I was inspired to create a mark that would be self-contained in a circle, with a slab-serif typeface to bridge the styles of the past and present. 

 

After solidifying a logo and brand for the company I was responsible for all brand materials; from designing and installing vehicle graphics, coffee sleeves, business cards, loyalty cards, apparel, promotional flyers, and coupons as well as assisting with social media management.
